1. Test overview.

This test is used to verify that the Slide Switch Zero charriot correctly detects its ejection position.
For that, a sensor (switch zero) is positionned in the film carrier and when the Slide Switch Zero charriot arrives in eject position, the sensor should be activated and the scanner must detect it.
If the eject position is not dedected, the Slide Switch Zero charriot will jam when it is ejected and this will produce overtorques.

2. Test conditions.

This test relates to the Mounted slide gate inserted in the scanner.
The Mounted slide gate must be inserted in the scanner to carry out this test.
No slide is necessary for this test.
The acceptance of the test is automatic.
No parameter is saved.

3. Pre-requirements.

None.

4. Test realisation.

Click on RUN to carry out the test. A window will appear requiring to withdraw the film carrier. When it is done, click on Restart.
A new window requires to position the Slide Switch Zerocharriot in an intermediate position. For that, turn the gear of the film carrier in order to move the charriot towards the bottom of the film carrier (but not before the film carrier has been detected when it is inserted).
A new window requests the insertion of the film carrier. When it is done, click on Restart (Caution, before clicking on Restart, wait for the film carrier to be detected prior to inserting it. Top left dialog box indicates " Slide ").
This phase of ejection - insertion of the film carrier is used to ensure that the film carrier is in a nominal position for booting up the test.
The scanner will pull out the Slide Switch Zero charriot and will check that the sensor is activated when the Slide Switch Zero charriot arrives in eject position.
The final result will be displayed on the screen.

5. Test acceptance.

The test is accepted if the eject position is detected, or rejected if it is not detected.

6.Other affected tests.

If the eject position is not found, all the tests, where an image is scanned, will be affected.

7. Trouble shooting.

If the test fails with the message " Fail : Cancelled by user " : it is due to the the fact that the film carrier was not detected when the Restart button was pressed. Restart the test but not before the film carrier has been detected when it is inserted.

If the test fails : check the connection of the sensor and check that nothing prevents the Slide Switch Zerocharriot from coming out and to wait for its eject position.
