1. Test overview.
This test is used to determine the distance necessary to ascertain the horizontal IR image in order to superimpose it perfectly on a RGB image (the vertical shift was found during the calibration of the 135 film carrier).
For that, the scanner will scan a B&W slide and will determine the horizontal shift to apply.
Note : The vertical shift is in the direction of the CCD (physical shift between the CCD IR and CCD RGB), therefore common to all the film carriers. The horizontal shift is in the direction of the advance of the film, therefore different to each film carrier.
If the shift values are incorrect, the ADDR cannot function to its optimal capacity.
2. Test conditions.
This test relates to the Mounted slide gateinserted in the scanner.
The Mounted slide gatemust be inserted in the scanner to carry out this test.
The B&W Slide must be used for this test (ref. 070 100 319A):
The acceptance of the test is automatic.
The value of horizontal shift is saved in chapter FILM_CARRIER_MSLIDE with line SLOW_SCAN_OFFSET.
3. Pre-requirements.
4. Test realisation.
Click on "
Run" to execute the test. A message will appear requiring the insertion of insertion of the short B&W film. When the film is inserted (watch for the direction of the film), click on
OK.
The scanner will scan the film totally.
At the end of the scan, the value of slow_scan_offset will be displayed.
5. Acceptation du test.
The test is accepted if the slow_scan_offset lies between -20 and +20.
6. Other affected tests.
7. Trouble shooting.
None.
