Slide ADDR

1. Test overview.

This test is used to verify that the ADDR functions correctly.
For that, the scanner will scan a standard film containing scratches and dirt and will display the corrected and the not corrected inmage to the user who will judge of the effectiveness of the ADDR.
If the ADDR does not function very well or not at all, the customer could complain that the scanner does not erase/wipe dirt and scratches.

2. Test conditions.

This test relates to the Mounted slide gateinserted in the scanner.
The Mounted slide gatemust be inserted in the scanner to carry out this test.
A standard slide, containing dirt or scratches must be used for this test.
The acceptance of the test is manual.
No parameter is saved.

3. Pre-requirements.

4. Test realisation.

Click on "Run" to execute the test. A message will appear requiring the insertion of the slide (containing scratches and dirt). When the slide is inserted, click on OK.
The scanner will scan the slide then will display several images: Click on OK then on ACCEPT to accept the test.
Note : the correction is better on Average resolution than in High resolution. Also, the ADDR test Slide uses the Average resolution.

5. Test acceptance.

It is left to the user's discretion to judge of the ADDR efficacity. If the corrected image seems correct (scratches and removed dirt), the test can be accepted.

6. Other affected tests.

None.

7. Trouble shooting.

  • If the effectiveness of the ADDR is not sufficient :
    1. To remake the test Slide Cal RGB IR then start the test again.
    2. If not, remake the tests Slide Cal Encoder 2 then Slide Cal RGB IR then start again the test.
