1. Test overview.

This test is used to check that the sensor for the cassette functions correctly.
For this, the scanner will test the condition of the sensor with and without cassette and will initialise a comparison test.
If the sensor does not function, the scanner will not be able to scan any APS film in cassette.

2. Conditions du test.

This test relates to the APS film carrier inserted in the scanner.
The APS film carrier must be inserted in the scanner to carry out this test.
Film APS Colour Target Film must be used for this test (ref. 070 100 416A) :
The acceptance of the test is automatic.
No parameter is saved.

3. Pre-requirements.

None.

4. Réalisation du test.

Click on RUN to execute the test. A message will come up asking to insert the APS Colour target film. When the film is inserted, click on OK.
A message will appear asking to withdraw the cassette. When that is done, press on OK.
Result of the test will be displayed on the screen.
Note : the scanner will check the following status :

• inserted cassette: sensor = 1.
• withdrawn cassette: sensor = 0.

5. Test acceptatnce.

The test is successful (if the status of the sensor is respected) unsuccessful (if the status of the sensor is not respected.

6. Other affected tests.

All tests where a cassette is used.

7. Trouble shooting.

If The test is rejected : start again by taking care to insert the cassette correctly. If not, it is necessary to check the connectiors of the management cartridge, failing this, change the film carrier.
