120 Cal RGB IR

1. Test overview.

This test is used to determine the distance needed to move the IR image horizontally as to superimpose perfectly on a RGB image (the vertical shift was found during the calibration of the 135 film carrier).
The scanner will scan a B&W film and will determine the horizontal shift value to apply.
Note : The vertical shift is in the direction of the CCD (physical shift between the CCD IR and CCD RGB), therefore common to all the film carrier exposures The horizontal shift is in the direction of the advance of the film, therefore different for each film carrier.
If the shift values are incorrect, the ADDR cannot function to its optimal capacity.

2. Conditions of the test.

This test relates to the 120 film carrier inserted in the scanner.
The 120 film carrier must be inserted in the scanner to carry out this test.
The short B&W Film must be used for this test (ref 070 100 424A) :
Film 120 Short NB
The acceptance of the test is automatic.
The value of horizontal shift is saved in chapter FILM_CARRIER_120 with line SLOW_SCAN_OFFSET.

3. Requirements.

4. Réalisation du test.

Click on RUN to execute the test. A message will appear requiring the insertion of the short B&W film. When the film is inserted (watch for the direction of the film), click on OK.
The scanner will scan the film totally.
At the end of the scanning, the value of slow_scan_offset will be displayed.

5. Acceptance of the test.

The test is accepted if the slow_scan_offset lies between -20 and +20.

6. Other affected tests.

7. Trouble shooting.

None.
